1961 Freedom Riders' 40th Reunion

Jackson, Mississippi, Veterans' Day Weekend, November 8-11, 2001

Donations

The Freedom Riders' Foundation was founded in 2001 for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Freedom Rides, just before the 9/11/2001 attack on America.  The Freedom Riders' Foundation seeks to spread knowledge about the American Civil Rights Movement in general and the 1961 Freedom Rides in particular.  Please consider making a donation to the Freedom Riders' Foundation.

The Freedom Riders' Foundation is seeking financial support to be able to make donations of relevant books on the Civil Rights Movement to public and school libraries in rural areas of the deep South, particularly Mississippi, which generally do not choose to purchase them. It is also attempting to establish a special fund to help Freedom Riders who have fallen on hard times, particularly with their dental bills.

The Freedom Riders Foundation is a project of SFFSC, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID #93-1048117, and California State Charity Registration ID #D-1684251 SF5FS). Your donation will be fully tax deductible because your donation is a charitable gift without the expectation of anything in return.
